The City of Worcester

Wedding Video Solutions WorcestershireThere are plentiful events that go on in the city of Worcester (UK) all over the year. The events vary from music, exhibitions, trails, walks, music, riverboat trips, and markets. These events are schedule to take place at different times in the year so as to avoid having events clashing in course of the year.

A colorful and splendid range of market activities are hosted in the city.

The City is also well known for its great and magical Christmas Farye. The affair, which is Victorian- themed, is usually organised around the first of December to the fourth of December in the city’s atmospheric and unique historic streets.

The main venues for events in Worcester are the Huntingdon and the Swan Theatre which are run by the Worcester Live. They provide a wide range of dance, music, drama and comedy programmes. The prime auditorium in the city, Worcester Cathedral, provides a range of activities and events such as exhibitions and concerts. There is also Europe’s oldest choral musical festival and the world renowned Three Choirs Festival.

There are also several great places in the city that call to attention tourists from all over the world. The Worcester’s George Medical Museum is a typical illustration of the development of health care and medicine over two hundred and fifty years ago. Visiting the city affords you the opportunity to visit the popular reconstructed apothecary shop and the operating theater from the old days. You also get to listen to the audio guide and the excerpts from the oral collection of the historic period. The museum features an interactive touch–screen computer demonstration.

One of the principle attractions of the museum is the death mask. There are about ten death masks which were used for prisoners who were executed through hanging in the gaol of Worcester. The reason for the casts was to understudy the attitudes of the criminals who were executed using the size and shape of the head. Worcester (UK) is well known for their historical and cultural heritages that are worth preserving. It is always nice to spend some holiday time in this great city. You will be able to have first-hand experience of the happenings of the city.
